Description

Year 9 classes, after doing a Debating unit inEnglish, had chosen class teams which debated against each other in quarter and semi-finals last term.

The final was between 961 and 954, with the moot of 'That all drugs should be made legal'.  It was a lively and high calibre debate with interesting arguments on both sides.  In the end 961 won, with their affirming argument that drugs are not inherently good but that they can be made safer for society when made legal.

Top speaker was Teign Carnegie of 961, with Maya Wilde of 954 getting second best and Jodi Melody of 961 getting third.
