| Description |
The Year 12 team had lost to QMC in the semi-final and were only seeded 4th for the final. They managed to claw back and win by 9/100ths of a second in a photo finish with Chilton in a thrilling race. The race had been called off last week due to the tsunami warning. Having two teams make the final is testament to the depth of East's talent, as is having such a young and inexperienced group of paddlers win the division. They will go into next year's competition as hot favourites. See more photos from the dragonboating competition. Photos by Mina Boag of Year 13. Above: Year 13s paddling.
