| Description | 
WEGC has been given a generous donation of $5,050 to go towards fundraising for a new wharenui. The money came from a project brought together by Te Awe Maori Business network to give back to local Maori projects. Over $10,000 was raised at their annual golf tournament, with half going to WEGC and half to Tawa College. The presentation to respresentatives from our kapa haka group was featured on the Maori Television show, Te Kaea, and a short clip can be viewed here (going from 13 minutes in to 15 minutes – you can wait for it to load and then click further along the time bar). |
