| Description | Kids voting
To assist in our choice, candidates from Wellington Central came and talk policies with us. We aimed to make our votes informed. Our votes are to be tallied and compared to those cast on the 8th of November by the 18 and over crowd. Kids' Voting was a funfilled half hour of stickers, orange highlighters and ballot boxes. Not only that, it has made us interested in having our say in our communities. |

2008 is election year not only for the nation, but also for students involved in the Electoral Commission Kids' Voting programme. All students in Years 9 and 10 had the opportunity to cast votes in the MMP election. Although the school, sited as it is above the tunnel, actually straddles both the Wellington Central and the Rongotai electorates, we went with our street address and voted in Wellington Central.
