A team of debating coaches from the Social Sciences department took on the Premiere A Debating Team in a 'showcase' debate at lunch-time today.  Participants included Ms Hutchinson, Miss Perkins and Ms Wards for the teachers and Vanessa Bramwell, Julia Wells and Elsie Joliffe for the students.

The moot was 'That green is over-rated' and the match was closely faught. 

Despite misquoting John Lennon (who did not claim 'no man is an island') and and several other questionable tactics, the teacher team came out the winners with their points negating the moot.
